NOMADS CLUB & OPEN EVENTS 2010

The first NOMAD event of the season is the CLUB HILLY on Saturday 10th April at 8.30 am. Start (and Park) at the top of Yorks Hill. There is plenty of room to park.

Last year the weather was fine (I think, as I was away enjoying myself at a family wedding and it was warm where I was). It’s an ideal distance to ride out even if you don’t intend to compete. As ever, there will be tea and coffee after the event.

Club Hilly    Details as above. Contact Duncan on 0208 857 2788, you can enter on the day.

Audax events

For those who don't know about 'Audax' Let us explain. Audax events are a sort of 'leisurely' reliability trial, similar to the all day club runs that some of knew when we started cycling. You are given a route sheet which you are expected to follow, a 'brevet' card which will either be stamped, or a question to be answered (information check) at various check points to prove that you have followed the full route. There are minimum and maximum speeds (usually 15-30 kph) Below is a list of events in the South East. The grey shaded events are some that I am intending to ride
